Earlham College Podcast: Joseph Moore and the Giant Beaver
Earlham College Podcast
Giant Beaver(Length - 15:34) Today we take a look inside the Joseph Moore Museum of Natural History on the Earlham College campus. The museum's collection dates back to the 1850's when Joseph Moore arrived at Friends Boarding School (soon to become Earlham College) as a student. He later returned to Richmond as a professor and as President of the College. Home to a variety of significant collectible specimens, the museum is almost entirely student-run, giving undergraduate students incredible hands-on experience. Mark Brim talks with museum director John Iverson, outreach coordinator Carol Stocksdale and student worker Erika Phelps. Additionally, Polly Wilde lets us know what's happening 'Around the Heart.'
